The More Than Food Campaign by the European Union (EU) participated in the prestigious AAHAR Trade Fair, which took place at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from the 7th to the 11th of March. Attracting a wide array of B2B professionals and HoReCa communities, the EU Pavilion at AAHAR showcased the diverse and rich variety of ingredients and products from the EU.
The AAHAR trade fair, a flagship B2B event organized by the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) and the Forum of Indian Food Importers (FIFI), is renowned as one of Asia's premier Food & Hospitality shows.
The EU Pavilion attracted significant attention, with attendees expressing interest in the EU food and beverage sector, and potential business opportunities to boost imports from the EU into India. The EU Pavilion was inaugurated with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony involving officials from the European Union Delegation to India, celebrity chef Ajar Chopra, also a More Than Food ambassador, and representatives from FIFI.
Chef Chopra prepared delectable dishes using EU ingredients for the inauguration, effectively presenting the intricate quality of EU products to the audience at the stand. Attendees also had the opportunity to try the products at the tasting session. The Chef explained the quality, authenticity, safety, and sustainability of products such as cheese and dairy, various types of meat, fruits and vegetables, as well as chocolate and confectionery.
Over the course of five days, the EU Pavilion attracted professionals from diverse sectors, including the HoReCa community, media, importers, retailers, and other exhibitors. Consumers, who were also invited to AAHAR, showed considerable interest as well.
