Europe’s unique culinary traditions have generated a huge variety of food and beverage products that reflect the continent’s amazing diversity. The European Union Pavilions at SIAL India (Booth C10, Hall 1B) and VINEXPO (Booth F50, Hall 1B) will offer an immersive experience into this diversity and around the quality, safety, authenticity and sustainability of European food, informing and inspiring Indian buyers, retailers and distributors. Over three days, the EU Pavilion will host a series of cooking demonstrations featuring renowned Indian chefs, and product tastings.

An introduction to the excellence of EU food and drink
The agenda of events for the three days of the EU Pavilions is packed with product tastings, cooking shows and product workshops that will present the excellence of food and beverages from the EU.
Permanent tasting sessions will be offered at the pavilions each day, with EU products available for your sampling pleasure to include:- Cheese and Dairy
- Pork and poultry
- Fruit and vegetables
- Olive oil, olives and vinegars
- Chocolate, confectionery and bakery products
- Wines, beers and spirits
The European Union Pavilions will also highlight ‘Geographical Indications’ (GI) - the EU’s own quality certification system to protect products unique to specific regions and their traditional production methods, in a series of product oriented sessions and live cooking shows:

Conference 'The EU and India: a partnership in food excellence"
At the conference “The EU and India: a partnership in food excellence,” taking place at 11:30-13:30 on 8 December, you will have the opportunity to learn about ways to guarantee the safety, quality, authenticity and sustainability of agri-food products, trends in F&B innovation and products not yet widely available on the Indian market, with addresses by EU Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski and other high-level speakers.

B2B Matchmaking sessions
In addition to the rich array of European food and beverages, the EU Pavilion will host a delegation of over 50+ EU company representatives from various food and drink sectors, creating excellent matchmaking opportunities for Indian buyers, retailers, and distributors. The business delegation will attend two B2B sessions, one at 15:00-17:30 on 7 December and the second at 14:30-16:30 on 8 December.

At the same time that EU food is being showcased at SIAL, the wide range of excellent quality wines, beers and spirits that the EU produces will be on show at VINEXPO (Booth F50, Hall 1B), which will take place at the same time in the same venue. Our sommelier, beer expert and mixologist will be on hand to guide you around the wide variety on offer and to suggest ideal pairings with delicious chocolates and some of the best quality cheeses that the EU has to offer.
As part of its ‘More than Food!’ campaign, the EU Pavilions at SIAL and VINEXPO will present a great variety of food and drink products from across the 27 EU Member States, providing opportunities for Indian food industry professionals to discover the added value that these products bring.
